Program for the P4T Forum
We would like to thank CIP, ACUPP and PIBC as well as all the planning programs across Canada and the United States who have taken an interest in and are supporting this, the annual conference of the Canadian Association of Planning Students. Hopefully by now all schools will have received our invitation package with details about the Forum. If you have not received an invitation package, please send us an email with your school's program name and mailing address to: <info@plannersfortomorrow.ca>.
To a large extent, the types of submissions for presentations we receive will dictate our program. We invite creative submissions of work including group projects you might have done at school, personal research, photography exhibits of an interesting planning related subject or films which you may have produced (of course you are not limited to these suggestions, we are open to just about anything). Please keep in mind the theme of the Forum: Planners for Tomorrow – who are they, what are their skills and where will they work? To submit a presentation for submission, please click here.
The Forum will get under way around 5pm Wednesday evening, June 14th with registration, a reception, opening ceremony, and keynote address. Please keep this in mind when making your travel arrangements, as you won't want to miss it! Thursday and Friday will be filled with presentations of students' work as well as opportunities for getting to know your fellow planning colleagues. Friday afternoon we will have a closing ceremony to celebrate all that we have learned and accomplished in two days. Thursday evening we have a bbq night planned at the UBC Farm where you will have the opportunity to explore urban agriculture at work. Friday night we have a social event in the works downtown so that everyone can chill and enjoy Vancouver. Stay tuned for more details!
We look forward to seeing everyone in Vancouver in June!
